What services do we offer?
What can Acupuncture treat? The World Health Organization has a compiled list of Acupuncture controlled trials. This list shows proof that Acupuncture can treat or assist in treating the following conditions:
Please call if you have questions about a condition not listed.
Do the Needles Hurt & Is it safe? No. Acupuncture needles are hair thin. In fact, they are thinner than a Cat’s Whiskers. When performed by a skilled practitioner the insertion of the acupuncture needle is practically painless. In most instances, you won’t even feel them go in.
After the insertion of the acupuncture needles you will feel some kind of sensation, usually for about five to ten seconds. Each person may experience different sensations, but here are some common sensations: heaviness, tingling, numbness, aching, soreness, and distention. These sensations may be uncomfortable but are not painful.
When performed by a trained licensed professional, acupuncture is extremely safe. Only sterile and disposable needles are used here at Yen Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic.
With Acupuncture you get SIDE BENEFITS not side effects! How many treatments will it take? The number of treatments that is required varies based on the type of disorder and each individual. In general, acute disorders may require 1-12 treatments to observe effects. For chronic disorders, 12 or more treatments may be required to observe effects. The basic principle is, if it didn't occur overnight, it will not go away overnight. 90% of our patients receive significant or complete resolution of their pain or women's health issues. So the sooner you call us the sooner we can help you live a PAIN-FREE and High Quality Life.

New Patient Intake Form (pdf format)
Forms of payment we accept Visa/MC, Discover, debit, cash, check, insurance (call us and we will verify your acupuncture coverage)
Does Insurance cover acupuncture? Many insurance companies are now paying for acupuncture treatments. Because each insurance company has different restrictions, it is best to consult with your insurance provider to determine if your treatments will be covered.
We DO file insurance; therefore, please call us to see if we are providers for your insurance company. In the case that we are not in-network providers, we will issue you a superbill, which contains all the necessary codes for you to file with your insurance company. How do I get started? The first step is to CALL OUR OFFICE to schedule an Initial Exam. The Initial Exam will take about 1 hour.
The purpose of the Initial Exam is to find out what is preventing your body from healing by itself and if we can help. If we can help, we will determine how frequent & how many treatments will be necessary to correct your health problem.
A correct diagnosis is crucial to the success of eliminating your health problem. That is why we look deep into every aspect of your health. A hasty exam will lead to poor results, wasted time, and wasted money.
Q: I already know the cause of my health problem, why do I still need an Initial Exam? A: If the cause is already known then the solution should have already been provided. If the solution does not eliminate the problem, then there may be other causes preventing your body from healing; and that's why we do the Initial Exam. We want to find out what's preventing your body from healing by itself.
EVERYONE is required to have an Initial Exam first before starting treatments, NO EXCEPTIONS.
How do I prepare for my Acupuncture Treatments? Please wear loose clothing and make sure you have eaten a light meal or snack prior to arriving for your treatments.
